Bonjour,

Je vais dans cet article vous parler du traitement des données.

Cette étape de modélisation est fondamentale, en ce sens qu'elle touche aux livrables (sens projet), aux outils (sens applicatif), aux développements (sens réalisation).

En effet le traitement des données à ceci de particulier, il représente la finalité de toutes démarches informatique.

A propos 'informatique' est la contraction des mots 'information' et 'technique', qui se traduit plus par :

"les techniques liées au traitement de l'information"

Pour mieux cerner ces évidences quelques questions existentielles permettent d'en clorent le sujet.

Quelles est la finalité d'un programme ? (traiter des données)

Quelle légitimité peut-on accorder aux données qui ne sont pas traitées ? (aucune, à purger des bases de gisement)

Bien maintenant que nous avons positionné ce concept, il est naturel de lui associer l'activité de l'homme.

En effet le traitement sur les données est à 80% le reflet de l'exercice d'une activité.  Ainsi l'art de modélisation consiste à concevoir le traitement des données de façon optimum en terme de temps et de ressources, autrement dit la conception/réalisation de tous projet est assujeti aux contraintes de couts, et en terme de justesse de résultat attendu.

Le traitement des données doit correspondre aux attentes des métiers. Autrement dit le traitement des données est directement lié au processus métier (et à l'ordonnancement des activités/tâche de celui-ci). Comme il est clair qu'exercer un métier revient à transformer des informations (ou des materiaux), en leur ajoutant une plus value, la conception d'un outil informatique du type programme ou application, revient à concevoir une facilité (assistance) à réaliser cette transformation. Elle doit réunir l'ensemble des contraintes liées à l'exercice de l'activité: c'est la rédaction du cahier des charges.

Ne pas oublier les 20% restant, représentant des traitements directement liés aux contraintes techniques de l'informatiques (backup, test/restauration, cohérence des données ...etc).

On voit toute l'importance du traitement des données. Il constitue le socle de toute la profession. Il 's'applique aussi bien à la conception, qu'a la réalisation. Et c'est bien au travers de ces traitements, que l'utilisateur final (celui qui exerce son métier/activité), va pouvoir péréniser l'usage de l'outil.

En terme d'architecture, le traitement peut s'apparenter à une approche du type BPM/BPA (Business Process Management / Architecture).

Par rapport à notre méta-modèle de données d''entreprise le traitement est directement associé au concept 'programme'. En effet le traitement ne peut se réaliser qu'au travers de l'execution d'ordres, c'est à dire via l'éxécution du code (lequel ordonnance des taches et fonctions à la machine).

Mais alors pourquoi est-ce si complexe ?


Tout d'abord, nous avons écarté jusqu'a présent la problèmatique des règles. De plus nous sommes resté sur le fait qu'un traitement est 'invariant', or tout processus métier se modifie progressivement dans le temps ( d'autant plus qu'est intégré, une volonté d'amélioration continue, au sein de l'entreprise), que se soit via la nécessité de s'adapter aux nouvelles règles, via une gestion calée sur la roue de deming, ou plus simplement suite à des réorganisations internes.

En effet l'intégration des règles reste aujourd'hui encore une problématique complexe, car dans son ensemble, elles touches à presque tous les concepts / objets.


Il se dégage pourtant deux grands ensembles de règles; Les règles de gestion (business rules), qui supportent le métier; et les règles de processus (workflow rules), qui supportent la façon d'exercer le métier.
L'impact de ces règles est global dans la mesure ou tout méta-objet de l'entreprise est règi par des règles ce qui rend difficile l'implémentation d'une classe type "business rules" ou "workflow rules", dans un modèle (ont aurait alors tellement de liens périphériques que ce deviendrait l'élément central autour duquel tout part et tout arrive).

Ce qui amène l'architecte à devoir faire des choix.

En ce qui concerne notre méta-modèle de données d'entreprise, nous avons retenu une classe :
DATA RULE.

Ce concept étant au coeur du traitement des données, il supporte l'ensembles des contraintes de faisabilité, et ainsi constitue les fondations de tout cahier des charges.

Pour ouvrir cet atelier pratique je comencerais par présenter les applications utilisées. Je remercie Mr BORGES Denis de la société ASG de m'avoir autoriser gracieusement à utiliser le logo ( ASG), ainsi que les marques de certaines de leurs solution en catalogue.

Liste des principaux outils :

ROCHADE positionné comme gestionnaire de référentiels de méta données, de la société ASG
WEBACCESS positionné comme interface de déploiement de la base de données référentiel, de la société ASG
AUTOPILOT positionné comme outil d'administration de ROCHADE, de la société ASG
APACHE/TOMCAT comme serveur Web
RATIONAL ROSE positionné comme outil de modélisation UML de la société IBM
EXCEL pour assurer le formatage de l'alimentation en masse de ROCHADE, de la société MICROSOFT


Bien pour commencer nous devons adopter une démarche projet, c'est à dire identifier un livrable puis aboutir à sa faisabilité.

Le RIM ( Repository Information Model) est l'équivalent d'un Modèle référentiel d'information, c'est à dire un méta modèle de données ( en y ajoutant la description sémantique).

Mais pour bien concevoir un RIM, il faut dans un premier temps modéliser. Nous avons retenu comme syntaxe l'uml, c'est donc vers la solution IBM que nous nous sommes investit.

Dailleurs tous les modèles décrits dans les précédents articles de ce blog, sont issus directement de notre modélisation avec Rational Rose.

A noter :
Le choix de l'éditeur UML importe peu pourvu  que l'on puisse y enregistrer l'ensemble des descriptions de chaques entités.

Une fois le méta modèle réaliser, il suffit de le dupliquer façon outillage ASG.

Grace à la juste utilisation d'Autopilot, il nous a été permis de créer des Item, de leur associer des attributs de description, et des attributs de liens.

Une particularité intéréssante du RIM réside dans la possibilité de gérer des " Namespaces", sorte de containers facilitant le travail d'association entre objets, par le fait de déclarer avant l'instanciation, la relation père-fils. Le prix de cette facilité est que le nom du fils se voit enrichi de celui de son père, ce qui abouti au bout de la septième occuence à devoir manipuler des noms d'objets relativement long (tout à ses limites). Mais avant d'arrive à la septième génération, je vous l'accorde, on à réussi à atteindre plus de 80% de l'objectif.
En d'autres termes, le namespace permet de s'affranchir de la lourde tâche de la gestion du "mapping" inter objet.

Il est fondamental de s'assurer la capacité à visualiser en temps réel,  l'ensemble des entités créées (objets, attributs et liens), car autopilot gère automatique la réutilisation de l'éxistant; Ainsi si l'on crée un attribut 'type' pour qualifier un type de donnée (par exemple), puis que plus tard on souhaite intégrer un attribut 'type' pour qualifier un type de structure (toujours par exemple), le simple fauit de l'invariance du nom de l'attribut conduit à réutiliser l'attribut 'type'  de la classe 'donnée' dans la classe 'structure' (d'ou une confusion très rapidement observée par manque de rigueur). La seule solution ici est de maintenir un référentiel des concepts utilisés dans le RIM.
